Yes, I agree, and for what they get paid, they should not be above the law. If teachers can loose their jobs for that, so should they.

They are not role models for our kids. They do a job and entertain, that is it. If you let your kids idolize sports figures as role models, you are failing in your job as a parent. You should hold up to them everyday heroes as role models, like the firefighters that ran up the stairs on 9/11, or the teacher that against adversity changes his students into scholars, or the soldier throwing himself on a grenade to save an Iraqi child. These are role models, not some whinny a$$ basketball player who has a chip on his shoulder cause he is only making 9 million a year.

I don't know about forever. If it is a felony then yes forever. If it's a misdeanor then a two year suspension without pay. Anything after that they are gone regardless of how good they were.

I DON'T KNOW IF THEY SHOULD BE BANNED FOREVER, BUT I DO THINK THEY SHOULD BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE AND BE SUBJECTED TO THE PUNISHMENT ACCORDING TO THE LAW, BE IT STATE, FEDERAL, LOCAL, ETC.
UNFORTUNATELY, ATHLETES, CELEBRITIES, POLITICIANS OR I GUESS PEOPLE IN THE PUBLIC EYE SOME HOW GET
PREFERENTIAL TREATMENT. I GUESS THEY USUALLY HAVE THE MEANS(MONEY) TO BUY THAT.
