You shouldn't be douching unless you've been told to do so by a doctor. Douching washes away the beneficial bacteria that live in your vaginal canal, leaving you more open to yeast and other vaginal infections.

Furthermore, if you DO have an infection, the jetting-action of the douche can push those bacteria into the uterine cavity, creating a potential dangerous condition called Pelvic Inflammatory Disease (PID).

Your vagina is a self-cleansing marvel. Don't mess with it!

not doing it, unless instructed by a doctor. Douching changes the natural PH and makes you prone to infections

Don't. The vagina is a self cleaning organ. Plain soap and a bath is all you need. Douches can cause a lot of problems.

Douching is a strange American custom. European and other women never do it. Medically it is rarely (if ever) needed. Don't do it unless your doctor tells you to.

I agree with Willamena...I have been told that by a doctor. If you use it you are destroying those cells that clean you. Then again, if you have had sex before you are 18 than you already did that. My doctor told me if you HAVE TO do it only once a month. Anything more is not safe.
