I was told that beginning 2009 all accounting majors will need to have a M.S. degree in order to take the Uniform CPA exam? I currently hold a B.S. degree in accounting and am eligible to sit for the CPA exam. The board of accountancy has approved me to take the CPA exam. My concern is what happens when the change from B.S. to M.S. is implemented by the Board and I have not yet passed my CPA exams. Do I have to go back to school for more classes or will i be grandfathered in??? does anyone know how such changes will affect people with B.S. Degree in accounting? your responses would be greatly appreciated.Thanks.
