misrepresent themselves/pretend to be something they're not when talking online. eventually u will get found out about.

Simple the odds of you meeting the person are very low. Not all people misrepresent themselves but the ones that do I believe have very low self esteem. They think you will never meet them so who cares. It is more interesting for some to be some nice wonderful rich and beautiful person then to be there own boring self.

that is what the Internet is all about, you can make yourself out to be something that you are not. I for one, have never lied to anyone about who I am or what I am on here. I don't see the point in it, but some people do it just because they can I guess. They don't seem to care if they do get "found out"

They do it because they really don't wanna be the person that they are. it puts them in this imaginary world for a lil while then when there phone rings, wife ask what are you doing online, restart the comp, gotta take their meds 4 whatever they take it for its back to reality.

It is because those people do not like who they are so they pretend to be what they would really like to be like. I think it is really sad that people feel that other people won't like them unless they pretend to be something they are not.
