I think part of our purpose is to figure out our own nature and try to create a decent life for ourselves and others. I have no strong religious beliefs, but do believe that we should try to be good to each other and do the right thing. We're here to learn.

One of the side effects of such big brains that evolved in response to patterns in nature is that we think that everything has patterns and meaning, and that when we can't or don't find patterns, these organs tend to misfire. So, long answer short, look for and create meaning in your life by establishing good relations between people. It'll make the patterns that all of us seek easier to understand.

look up theosophy. Its not what you think the correspondence course isnt Religious its reallymore observation, there are some metaphysical things bout it but once you get throughthe first book Lifes Riddles you might be able to see things from a whole new perspective.
I suggest metaphysics to increase observation

It would seem to me that if we reject the creation story then we are here strictly by chance.
The creation story and a belief in a higher power gives us purpose because we were created.
Other than that the meaning of life is simply put three words;\
Meaning, there must be something that gives you meaning,
Fulfillment, there must be something that fulfills you.
Purpose, there must be something that gives your life purpose.
Anything else is existing, not living.
But then that's my opinion.
