Not for a second. The Inquisition was just as much an act of terrorism as what we are experiencing today. As much as I hate to admit it, we Christians have been just as ruthless in the past as the radical Muslims are being right now. :(

No one but a confirmed bigoted moron would make such a wish. However, The Catholic Church has been working on it for almost 100 years. Have patience, maybe you can find yourself a heretic or two and torture them.
