Assuming that a school gets slapped by the NCAA and it has to forfeit lets say all of their games.....do those losses go against the Coach's career record?....or does he just go on "free" to market his record to another school?

Unfortunately, the losses don't count against the coach, but the school. That needs to change.

Here's something else that needs to be fixed:

When a coach is cited for numerous recruiting violations and the NCAA steps in and slaps sanctions on the school, then the coach leaves that school and goes to another, it's the school he left that gets saddled with the sanctions.

What needs to happen, is that the NCAA needs to sanction the COACH not the school. Otherwise the coach is allowed to pack up and head off to another program and begin again with a clean slate while the school he left behind must deal with the NCAA-imposed sanctions for years to come.

As long as the coach is still Employed by the school they count as losses. Any losses prior to termination of employment count against the Coach's record. After termination they do not count...
