i was thinking about buying a new snowblower from the local tractor supply company and they have a 8 hp 30" cut with headlite, but last year i used another guys to do the driveway and such, but in a short time with the warmest gloves man could find they still got darn cold a few times, was wondering if a person can buy hot grips to make work on snowblower to keep hands warm, all the ones i find are used for 12 volt operations, and this does not have a battery of course, so is there a good kit somewhere that i can buy to get to work on this snowblower with out destroying something that i should not?
thanks in advance to all that reply =)

Well, you won't be able to install a 110V or 220V version either, because that's even more difficult to get on your snow blower than 12 V.
If your Snow blower has an electric start (as opposed to pull string start), then you should have a 12 volt battery on board which you can use.
In any case, the snow blower should have a small generator which produces electricity to be converted into high voltage for the spark plug .... but it may not be strong enough to also run hand warmers which are - after all - heating coils.
Why not go for the chemical type, the stuff you get in Chinese Dollar Stores (in winter): It is a small pouch with chemicals inside, and once you activate it, you put it inside your gloves and they will be warm for long enough to do your driveway.....?

Try the heat packs you get from the drug stores for back ache. They are supposed to last for hours. Just a thought. I live in palm tree land and my gardening problems tend to be toward 100 degree weather.
