Don't force a kid to do anything...try to rationalize with them, but don't force the issue. Take some time off in the summer and take her there by train or car if you can.

She needs to get back on a plane now, or she'll never do it! I know a lot of people who refuse to fly and they have never been out of the NY tristate area! If she's really nervous, but wants to go with her friends, talk to her doctor about a sedative for the flight, that what my sister does!

assure her that they fixed most of the problems and that they have new technics out to prevent and to capture a terriost if they do make it on the plan. tell her that the pilots have wepons to protect her and themselves and that marshalls are on the plan now too. Tell her that they took as much caution as they know how to to protect her. Tell her that they are catching the terriost b4 they get on the plane bc of the new technology that they have too. You can tell her that you are sure that the school is taking percautions also maybe you can talk to the princepal about the precautions and take her when you do so she can know what there precautions are too. maybe talk to them about driving her there maybe the schooll will alllow it.
hope this helps you.

Well in a situation like this i would send her with a cell phone and have her call you and make sure to have her sit with a friend so she can stay occupied of if she still don't think it's a good idea then just let her stay home if that's what she would perfure to do you just have to make the right decision.

her fears are understandable you might try a trip to the airport to show her all the safety precautions in place now but in the long run even though you might hate for her to miss the fun it might be something she just cant deal with and her own personal feelings should come first

Let her take Dramamine shortly before she gets on the plane. The side effect of drowsiness will replace her nervousness.

Try to encourage her. But if she is flying away she must be at least a teenager. Can you go with her? I wouldn't force her.

try and sit her down and explain to her it was a (hopefully) once in a lifetime occurance and since then, v little has happened. highlight the elevated security levels in the airports and hopefuly she will be ok!
