I watched parts of it... I've heard the different radio programs all morning talk about it... how can he sleep at night knowing he just made a speech on a day of rememberance for 3,000 people that lost their lives on 9/11 that was completely about Iraq and trying (DESPERATELY) to gain support and still trying to instill fear in the american people about terrorists "following us"??? It's embarassing to say he is this country's president... the fact he even got in office is a giant question mark.

There always seems to be a nutjob responding to my questions on here... the speech WAS on 9/11, it might've been on Tuesday (9/12) in the UK but it WAS 9/11 here (it was at NIGHT which would be early MORNING there in the UK... timezones, what a concept huh???)... secondly, I have a perfectly fine attention span but I can only take so much of his BS, obviously if you can't even tell time you'd be his perfect pupil so it doesn't surprise me that you would spew the BS you posted here. Oh yeah, and ALL SPEECHES HE MAKES FROM THE WHITE HOUSE ARE CONSIDERED "PRESIDENTIAL ADDRESSES"... moron.

I turned off the TV the minute he started his political speech; I was offended that he'd use a solemn occasion like that for political speeches... man, that guy keeps showing how stupid he is and he's not even embarrassed! I wish someone would've told him to shut up and leave and not to take advantage of the situation to spit out political b/s!

What is even worse is that your attention span is less than seventeen minutes. Which was the length of his address, and you only watched parts of it. That is a shame.
The other thing that is overlooked is the fact that the speech occured on Tuesday, the day after the 9/11 anniversay. The speech was billed as a Presidential Address, not a 9/11 momorial speech. He made plenty of speechs dedicated to the events of 9/11.
If you had listened to his entire speech, you would have heard him describe the new foreign policy of the United States. I don't have time to walk you through the entire speech, but if you can only critize him for things you think you heard, or base your opinions on things that others might have heard, then that is your perrogative, and one of the best examples of a tool used by democrats to topple our United States Government. So, keep your head in the sand, and if the Dems ever get back into the oval office, you can come up for air. And if you don't think that the radicals want Americans dead, just watch the news and you will see that a major attack on the embassy in Damascus was thwarted today, an attack which could have killed dozens, and the radicals are still communicating threats to kill Americans.
Have a nice day.

The president is still trying to link the war in Iraq to the devastation caused by 9/11. The two had nothing to do with one another, yet President Bush deliberately made a speech last night, interrupting the 9/11 crockudrama on the east coast, just to toot his horn about Iraq.

He (baby Bush) is trying to justifly Americas response to terror by going into an illegal war, shame on him, Bush is no more interested in the lose of life in America, than I am about the first (allegedly) man to land on the Moon. It's propaganda nonsense, it's a circus, what was his response on learning of the palne attacks on the twin towers, listen to children reading stories in class!

All of Bush' speeches are propoganda, but not necessarily Repignican.
He has his own agenda which does not involve the average citizen of The USA,, for whom he has no caring.
Yes, he tries to justify the war on Iraq, in order to start his excuses for a war on Iran. His desire is to be known as a war president, and he wants as many wars as possible.

If everyone turned off the TV how is it they know what he said??? By listening to talk radio? I thought the speech was OK. Certainly political. I did like the story about the fireman's family. It touched me and was respectful.

now you know why his approval rating is sinking faster than the Titanic did - it's a last desperate attempt to manipulate people emotions into thinking that what they are doing in Iraq is valid - hopefully the Americans are a lot brighter than that!
