I always put the seat down after I use it. Can't understand why anyone would want to leave it up. Even when I lived by myself for five years I put the seat down.

And if you are going in the dark, why can't you put your hand near the top of the toilet and feel if the seat is up? It only takes a second. Better than guessing and falling in.

The worst thing that can happen to women is to not turn on the light and fall into the toilet. It seems to me that if he finds it down then he should put it back like he found it. I have seen a ad for a spring thing that lowers the seat after it is raised.I guess that would help keep piece in the home. Or you could buy him a urinal and sit by his side of the bed and save your self from Cold water shock.

I lived in a household of men. It was a rare treat to find the toilet seat down. But personally, I don't understand the issue. How difficult is it to raise or lower a freaking toilet seat? Good grief!

Being I have a son, (and way-back when) a husband, I have fallen into a toilet, usually in the night-time hours. What really gets my goat (so to speak) is they pee all over the seat and you sit in it, yuckkkkkkkkkkk! Then you fill the need to take a bath! LOL!!!!

This statement is a little feminist, isn't it? Why is it that we have to make sure we leave the seat down? Why can't women ever learn to leave the seat up???

Yeah all the time.
It's called " putting the seat back down " , it won't kill me & only ever happens V occasionally if my husband 4gets.
In 11 years it's only ever happened a dozen or so times.
My husband's considerate & I know how lucky I am.
