Snoring is often a symptom of sleep apnea. Sleep apnea can be held responsible for many of modern man's ailments up to and including heart disease. I strongly suggest you get a sleep study done to find out if sleep apnea is at the root of your snoring issues.

Unfortunately, there is no cure, but there are ways to help control it. Being overweight can cause more snoring, so if you are, try losing some weight. I understand that people with 'sleep apnea' can obtain a device known as a CPAP , where you wear a mask to bed that provides pressurized air so you don't have to struggle for air. But for plain 'ol sawing logs, there's really not much you can do. Experiment with different sleeping positions. Make sure your mate goes to sleep before you do. Have your mate try foam earplugs. If worse comes to worse, the only solution for many is separate bedrooms.

My snoring drove my wife mad!
My CURE was to lose weight, cut down on booze and especially dairy. I sleep better, feel better when awake and the dairy thing has turned everything around.
Try elimination of dairy products or maybe even wheat for afew days and see how you go. A lot of things can be remedied through nutrition without going down the artifical pharmaceutical route.
Sweet dreams!

Short of Surgery:
Nasal Saline Lavage, Lose Weight, Nasal Sprays, CPAP,
Surgery:
Contact a ENT Doctor for an eval..
Get a sleep study to check for apnea. Losing weight can reduce apnea conditions. But apnea is when you stop breathing during your sleep cycle. It leads to snoring..Can be aleviated with CPAP and weight loss.
Give your spouse a sleeping pill.

Nose strips, loosing weight or lying on their side are all remedies which have limited success. There is only one sure way to cure snoring. Murder!! It may seem a little excessive but in your comfortable prison cell, you will have hours of quality sleep.
Enjoy!!!!

Get some strong string and thread it through an old tennis ball so that you now have a ball on a string. The ends should be equal on both sides of the ball. Tie the string around his/her waist with the ball at the back. When he /she lays on the back the ball will dig in and then he/she will turn over onto the side.

Try those nose pads that open the air passage way. Ask your doctor. Tell her to turn you over when it wakes her up, or wake you and ask you to turn over. That's what I do to my hubby.
