I would state that there is not. Last won the World Series in 1908, when there were way fewer teams in the league. Winning it when there are 30 teams in the league is much harder than when there are 8 or 16 (or whatever it was in 1908).
Some will argue that the Phillies are the worst. But at least the Phillies have the 1980 championship and some great teams since the advent of fire to speak proudly of.

Braves fan here.
Up until about 2 or 3 years ago (whenever) when the Cubs made their run I kinda rooted for them, not because of their players but because of Wrigley Field. After I saw a Braves/Cubs game during that year I hated them, even the Mets fans that year were better behaved than they were.

Dudeman knows what he is talking about! And wasn't one of those a FOUR GAME sweep? No team is more "worthless" or "disgusting" than the Cardinals with their slimeball manager and an entire roster (except one who shall remain nameless-but you know who) who are terrible players. If you had actually won the season series against us, then you would have a right to post a question like this!

YES - we (here in Phoenix) have the Arizona Cardenials inflicted on us each year. I've been in the valley 15 years & I KNOW everything will go pear-shaped at some point & I just don't care.
I don't know how things are going to do wrong this year (except for the O-line not being good enough). But I just KNOW at seasons end 8-8 will be a miraculous result.

Remember 2003...haha, I am a Marlins fan. Any team that is up 3 games to 1 in the NLCS, and then even winning by 5 runs in the 8th inning, and then can blow the game...Wow. They stink!
