An old barber used to shave me (when I was in the chips!) He would first cover my beard with Noxema cold cream and then a light layer of shaving foam. Result? the best shave ever! Nice and close with out any irritation. I've been doing it for years. Try it.

Hi
You may have sensitive skin and basically do whatever it takes to stop this, some people shave in hot water some in cold..its the individual that knows what works and what doesnt. Maybe try different razors and shaving foam/gel there are so many products you can chose from and some companies do a soothing gel to apply after you shave, maybe try that. Hope this helps x

Put cold water on the area before using the gel. Cold water closes the poors and makes for a closer shave too. Or change the gel. Certain shaving gels have so many perfumes they don't do the job. Stick to shaving cream with Aloe.

Make sure you are in the shower with hot water for at least 5 minutes. This will allow your pores to open and loosen the area around the hair folicle a little. My husband shaves his head daily and rarely gets razorburn. Also try Aveeno shaving cream.

Hi, I can recommend a product my husband has started using. It is from a company called Arbonne and it is their NurtiMenC Shaving Lotion. My husband is 55y/o so trying to get him to try anything new is tough, but now he won't be without it. He use to get the bumps and itching skin and since he has been using this his skin is completely clear. No more problems after shaving. You can check it out in their online catalog at http://www.wonderful.myarbonne.com Good luck to you.

first use warm water to open up your pores, you may use a face towel with warm water and just cover your face with it.then apply shaving cream/gel.after you shave just apply some aloe vera/cooling gel.this helps to minimise burns.DO NOT USE SPLASH COLONGE IMMEDIATELY.as this will cause skin irritations(with makes your skin have a burning sensation).BTW I use this methods for my legs so yeah it works!Hope you don't get the razor burns No more.

Wash your face well before hand so the hairs are moist and soft, and just press lightly.
