Why wouldn't they cover it?

No ins covers is because its not a medical neccesity or used for diagnostic reason. It's just for fun, really. When they do an 4D they tell you upfront that they do not measure the baby at all .. it's just for the purpose of seeing the baby. Its kind of like braces ...your root canal is covered by ins but because you need it, whereas braces are for cosmetic reasons and will not be covered. Catch my drift? I got an 4D u/s and paid $100. Well worth it.

I actual have had a three-D/4d sonogram carried out with my final being pregnant. Why somebody advised you it replaced into no longer secure I have not have been given any concept! it rather isn't any distinctive than a 2d sonogram...the only distinction is the settings on the sonogram gadget are replaced. i could propose getting it carried out in the experience that your coverage covers it..it rather is the main mind-blowing element EVER! stable luck!

Not unless your doctor determines it's medically necessary for the specialized one. You can see all the basics and the profile, etc with the normal ultrasound so if you want the fancy stuff, you have to foot the bill.

They are a lot more expensive than a normal ultra sound. Unless the doctor deems it medically necessary they most likely won't cover it.

Mine wouldnt cover it either cause it is deemed "unnecissary" since there is no reason why a regular ultrasound couldnt be done. Besides the regular ultrasounds are cheaper and the stupid ins. companies are cheapskates and are going to go with what ever costs them less

no, not unless the hospital decided they HAD to have that kind instead of the other for medical reasons, but even then it would be a fight with the company.

They usually cost like 100 bucks, just pay for it yourself.
