i am face with decision making between hardware and software engineering?

Question

i prefare software but i will also like to know which of the softwares option would u as a persom prefare and i will also like ur own reasons why u prefare that one and the major one i have in mind are
1.Database managament system
2.programming
3.Jave
4.Oracle
Etc..
if u have other ideals about this you can also pass on your views about this problem of mine.

Hardware engineering has 10% of the openings of software.
But the best software engineers understand hardware.
Most claim it, few really know it.

Get hardware engineering *(or firmware, writing machine language code) position while in school, software when you have your degree.
