I don't know who would place a race on an ethnicity but I never thought that Jewish people were Jews because of race. I believe that the religion originated in the Middle East and the majority of the people there are people of color or are considered to be a minority. Some people just need to open their minds to the possibility that we all have another race flowing through are veins and no one person is fully one complete race.

Oh yeah,. about.com. Really neutral and scientific. Yes, it is possible to "become" a jew, but they are called prostlyte jews. Studies have shown that the majority of Jews DO share a common genetic heritage.

You must draw a line between "jew" as in race and "jew" as in religion. According to Operation World, judaism is the religion with the highest number of seculars. In other words, they are jewish by race but not by religion. Only around 20% of all jews actually believe or practise their religion.

On the other hand, there are "black jews" or "falashas" who are descendents of prostlytes. These were first jewish by religion only but now it is transmitted matrilinearly.

The Jews are God's chosen people - as far as race? ask God. They are in fact their own religion - and that is as far as God took it.

"Life's too short. GET OVER IT, whatever it is!"

You said it, not me. I'm going to apologize if I offended you, although my stand on issues like this is still the same.
