I am curious because I knew when my baby turned. That same week I had a ultrasound and my baby was head down. If the baby is head down too long does that mean there's a chance of my having my baby early. By the way throughout my pregnancy my baby have always been low. Has this happen to anybody? My baby turned at 23 weeks (1 week to 6 months). I have no complication so far. I go far my sugar test in 2 weeks. Should I be concerned? Thanks in advance for all serious answer!

Sounds like this is your first baby. He or she will probably settle in earlier for the head-down position. My first's head was molded in such a way to make her look like Gumby, you know, the green clay guy that talks funny and has the funny-shaped head. It resolved itself by 9 months but it was funny. She was the most beautiful baby, though.

If your baby is already low, that doesn't mean you'll deliver early. Talk to your doctor about your concerns but it doesn't mean anything, I'm sure. Every pregnancy is different. I'm pregnant now and I'm carrying very low. I've never carried this low before so I know you're concern, but I wouldn't worry. It's just how the baby is. I've had 4 kids already and am working on my 5th so I'm pretty certain what you're experiencing is just normal for YOU.

If you have more children, they might not go into the head-down position until during delivery or right before. Or they might be breech and never quite figure out they're supposed to go head-first.

Good luck and congratulations on your pregnancy!

they keep turning all through your pregnancy. it may be face down now but could flip again tomorrow. you can usually feel them when they make a dramatic turn like that. you can also tell by which body part they are pressing out of your abdomine.
as for the sugar test, if you havent had any complications so far, i wouldnt be worried. it is a nasty test though. be prepared to drink something that tastes like flat orange syrupy soda. ew. youll be on a sugar high for the rest of the day. lol
my baby was always low in my pregnancy as well. never up high, i could always feel her head on my lower abdomine, it was so cool. no one could ever tell when i dropped because i was already low. pregnancy is the best thing in the world. enjoy it and good luck with everything.

I'm 25 weeks and my baby is butt down. His head and feet are behind my belly button. Doctor said he "should" turn by 32 weeks. Every pregnancy is different, every baby is positioned differently too. Just take it day by day and don't worry. It doesn't mean you will go into labor early. Enjoy being pregnant. Trust me!

Going for your Glucose test? Good luck. Try to fast anyways before the test. I've been through the glucose tests too many times!!! I have to go for my 3 hour next week.

unless you have a family history or have your placenta low(that would have shown on your ultra sound) there is no reason to worry about the baby being head down now, I had four and they all rotated at different times. One turned several times. My first stayed head down almost the whole time. My last flipped over just a few weeks before. instead of worrying(which is normal) try enjoying your new blessing:)

It is too early for the baby's head to be engaged - the baby may turn back again as your uterus has enough room at 23 weeks for the baby to move about. Maybe your baby is just moving around, which is normal.

The baby's head usually engages after 32 weeks.

Some women carry the baby low - it is OK. But all your concerns should be addressed to your gynaecologist who is more experienced and certified. At your stage I guess you will be seeing him more frequently than you did earlier.

It's different for every baby, but the average time a baby turns is between 32 and 38 weeks.

No, you are fine. I had a baby who did not turn until I was in labor, my other three were head down before my 20 week ultra sound. They were all past their due date. At this early, your baby may even do another complete rotation.
