Starting with the Korean war! in fact it was not a true war ,it was fought under the United Nations banner and was called a police action.. The action took place between 1950 and ended in 1953 when the country was partitioned and north and south Korea where formed. Since then the south has prospered while the north has slipped into isolation..
Vietnam is another story! yep a true war of idealism and ideology.. Military might over peasant farmers. Sounds easy enough to win!. In fact even though most people would say that the US lost the war in Vietnam its not quite true!. In a sense the Americans just lost the will to carry on fighting. In a very similar way to how the British gave up fighting in America during the war of Independence..
In Vietnam Loosing the will wasn't really down to the government either, successive administrations continued pouring money men and material into the theatre.. Big business also had huge influence with various government departments which carried the war on and on, In the end it was more to do with people power and adverse public opinion! concerning the mounting cost in both material and human lives!.
Right now the military action in both Afghanistan and Iraq are not really moving forward with more lives and material been lost!. The costs are absolutely enormous!, and ongoing!. The Vietnam war was described has a quagmire , easy to get into, and hard to get out of,, I guess both Iraq and Afghanistan could be described in the same way! because there is not any sign that the conflict will end anytime soon..

the two your history instructor is submitting you with lies or you're purely an entire dumbas. Korean war. North Korea attack first with the help of violating the thirty 8th parallel settlement. We effectively repel their attack yet MacArthur disobey Turman's orders and push too close to the chinese language border. We effectively withdraw at an identical time as slaughtering a pair of chinks at an identical time as at it. The Vietnam war. We might have withdrew from Vietnam however the Vietnamese kick out the Soviet and had a quick war with China afterwords. Our Domino concept replaced into incorrect and no different us of a interior the South China Sea fell to communism after. Iraq replaced right into a achievement considering that we overthrew Saddam's regime and post a Democratic government. Afghanistan: you probable did no longer get the SEAL shaggy dog tale.
