I'm getting sooooo sick and tired of all the labeling junk.

"Let me guess, you're a liberal" - someone actually posted this as a response to a question. Umm, maybe he is, maybe he isn't, but what's your point?

Conservative, liberal, who freaking cares? How about we discuss topics and facts instead??

Sorry, I'm just kinda peeved.

Because politics is more like a religion than a method of chosing a government.

Everyone believes their party is the best and if you post a question challenging the believe of one side or the other that is where the argument goes.

You can try to talk issues and keep yourself above the petty politics... or you can resign yourself its futile and jump in and wallow with everyone else. If you ignore the usual partisan players you can sometimes get a few enlightening answers and new viewpoints on issues.

Don't be sorry for being peeved. You've got a right to feel any way that you want and to think anything you want to think. I understand the way you feel. There are unfortunately so many people on here who do nothing but bash and name call. I would like to think that the general public has manners and is open to discussion, but, in my opinion, that couldn't be farther from the truth. I wish there were some forum on the Internet where people who really want to learn and discuss issues could go. Unfortunately, the very nature of the public mentality precludes that. Sad, isn't it?

People are lazy by nature, and tend to take the easy way out. Labelling requires no effort.

Even worse, there are people that want to express an opinion, but don't have one, so they either point fingers to mask their own ignorance, or they glom onto a group and use their ideas.

People use these insulting labels because they feel they are speaking anonymously behind their computer screens. They would never say theses things to someones face as they know they would get their buts kicked if they did.
I would like to see more constructive questions and answers instead of rants and insults.

I totally agree with you. I don't fall neatly into any one category, and I'm sure most other people don't, either. Some people just rely on name-calling and bullying...just like in grade school!

people are ignorant, and any ideal that differs from there own leads to name calling because they cannot fathom that another ideal exists.
