OK you didn't say what age you are so this may be too much detail but:
Steroids are lipids (fats) formed of four carbon rings. They are formed from acetyl CoA. They are found in plants and animals and are used as hormones (signals passed round the body). Cholesterol is also a steroid. Look for things which end in sterol and they will be steroids.
Anabolic steroids are drugs that increase muscle and bone synthesis. (These are the drugs which are illegally taken by some athletes.
However Corticosteroids are often prescribed by doctors to help inflammatory diseases.
