I need to use this to for an assignment I'm doing.
Can I use my existing e-mail address?
Please help, I had to have this assignment in by yesterday but I haven't got a clue on how to set up an e-mail address.
My tutor is no help, she said I have to use Office Outlook not MSN or Yahoo Mail for this assignment.

Thank you.

Of course you can use your existing email addresses, that what its all about.

1) Install Outlook (pop in the CD, run Setup, answer the questions).

2) When you'll first start Outlook, create a new mail account. In your case, its either a POP3 or IMAP account. Get this information from your email provider.

That's about it. Good luck!

Okay this is going to take some explaining, so follow these instructions carefully:

Open MS Outlook
Select Tools>Add a New E-mail Account
Server Type = POP3

Enter the following information:

User Information: Enter your full name
E-mail Address: example, john.smith@wanadoo.cm

Logon Information:

john.smith@wanadoo.com
Password: This is the password you use to sign on to the Internet

Server Information:

Incoming Mail Server (POP3): example, POP3.wanadoo.com
Outgoing Mail Server (SMPT): example, SMPT.wanadoo com
(You may have to contact your Internet Service Provider to obtain these settings - give them a ring)

And finally,

Test Settings: Click on the button to see if your settings work. If they do, you won't get any error messages, and you'll get an e-mail confirming that your settings do work.

Good luck!

I have been in you situation sometimes before. After wondring all around i have found in yahoo and msn help that.....

This Settings which are required to configure Outlook depending on service provider such as Yahoo, Hotmail, MSN etc. But all these service providers are wants premium account to configure outlook. Means you have too pay some money for using mail via outlook or any other other mail based software such as Thunderbird or etc.

I suggest to use the gmail account for that purpose. Gmail allows to configure the Outlook in free account. But for creating a outlook account you need to invite by someone. In case you are intreasted to join Gmail contact me for inviting you.I remain online mostley on Yahoo messenger.

You cannot set up a yahoo or hotmail account in Outlook unless you pay for the privilege by having either a Yahoo premiumn account or a hotmail premium account.

If you have no domain name or webspace then you CAN NOT set up a working address, simple as!!
