I have experienced this situation because it happened to my mother when I was a kid. You have to get away. All the other suggestions about calling the cops is a good idea! Social services also helps out a lot these days. I can perceive one of your worries - that you will be separated from your children, but I don't think they will do that to you if you are doing the best you can for them. Just do something to get away from there! My thoughts are with you!

You may live out in the boonies but you seem to have the internet correct? It can be a very useful tool. You must also have a phone correct? Get on it and call the nearest shelter, Dept. of Health and Welfare, Abuse hotlines, Battered women's groups. Research on the computer if you need to. Do your children go to school? Can you trust one of their teachers or their principal to get word to an agency that can help all of you. There's always a way out when there is will!! You need to get out of there PRONTO!! Nobody deserves to be abused like that. He isn't your savior from the streets - you have to be for those children!! Think of what the scumbag is doing to your children and you will find an inner strength that will help you get through this. GO NOW!!

I'm sorry, but there are way to many questions like this on here. Aer people stupid these days. As a mother you should never, I mean NEVER let anyone put a hand on your children. Call the cops, they are equipped to help you. Also go see a shrink because you need help staying somewhere like that!

I understand you have kids and its hard, but since the guy is not the kids father then you have no real attachment to him and just go to your local police department, hospital,or someone and ask for help.My sister lived in a bad relationship with her husband and the father of her kids for years and never did anything about it.I know its hard but you have to do it for your kids. They don't need to be living in an enviroment where someone is hurting them and you for no good reason. If not for yourselves do it for you kids.

dont be stupid.. contact the local police department, there are shelters that can provide a safe place for you and your children.. be a smart woman.. for gods sake your children expect you to protect them as their mother your duties are to make sure that these children are protected and safe and live in a loving enviroment. Please get off the computer and go take of you and the children.. god bless.....

There has to be shelters or some kind of help in your community. You can dial 800-800-5556 that is the national number for child abuse and they can also give you the number for adult abuse also.

Please get help...he is obviously taking advantage of the fact that he knows you have nowhere else to go...see if there is a womans shelter in the area...they should take you in and help you get back on your feet. I hope you get out of this situation for you and your kids..it will not get better..it will only get worse.

i dunno if i am the only guy answering this....but as a professional...listen to your fellow ladies.....LEAVE!!! ...get out especially for your kids....or at least get your kids out if you are doubting yourself. the worse thing i see is women staying in a home that does more harm then good.
there is shelters and many services that can help...you just need to do something about it. trust me...if worse comes to worse your the one goin to feel guilty.
