In general, it's not a classic sexually transmitted disease, but it is possible to pass it back and forth between your partner and yourself, like a yeast infection can be passed back and forth. It's usually caused by the E. Coli bacteria from poor hygine.

yes it is contagious, my cousin had it for months and they told her it is contagious.
