The present manager will not get the sack untill Shearer is ready to take over, the reason he got the job in the first place was because he was prepared to take it under those terms, all kinds of names were bandied about when the job became vacant, O,Neil, Big Sam et al. Who among the big names would be happy keeping the seat warm for Shearer?
It is often said one man is never bigger than any club, not so in Shearer,s case, he,s still a cloud over Newcastle just listen to local radio coverage of their games, his name still comes up more than the guy,s taking part. Until he is put into room 100, the club is going nowhere but were they ever?

I could do the job, if I could be bothered. There are many out of work managers around at the moment. I'm sure if Glen Roeder does get the sack they will have someone else lined up already.

David O'Leary or probably Mick McCarthey could be the best candidate for the Newcastle United's hot seat should Glenn Roeder gets the sack!!

He won't get the sack just yet. (Unless we get booted out of Europe this round).

Best bet at the moment would be Curbishley - with Shearer as his deputy - this should solve the Coaching badge situation. Shearer could then get his badges.

Mind you he does look happy doing his media work at present.

Lets just hope Shpherd isn't daft ebough to bring Sven in. But he's done stupider things.

Oh jesus don't get me started. One season he's thesaving grace now he's sackable. The transfer debacle is to blame for our woes at this time and some of that blame must fall to roeder. They took an eternity to sign Martins and made panic signings with Bernard and Sibierski. With a serious bit of focus they could have had Huth, Woodgate and Campbell(who offered his service to Newcastle before Portsmouth signed him) and those players are reaping rewards already and Newcastle could have had them all for 5-6 million tops.

I dunno, a bad work man blames his tools but with that crack ridden defence what can be done?

If Roeder was going to be sacked (which is not going to happen and why as well I might ask), it has to be Ottmar Hitzfeld, a TOP quality manager who can win things, control players and play good football. If not him, I guess Curbishley would do.

I think that Shepherd will give him until Xmas to improve results. Who will go there? Some manager who wants good money for 12 months!. Who in their right mind would want to manage them with Shepherd in control?
