I have a friend who lives in Cornwall (Saltash) and she loves it there. Lots of natural beauty and a nice lifestyle. The weather is generally better than the rest of England, too. She works at a hospital in Plymouth.

Other than that, I can't help you with car sales there.

Property is expensive, buying or renting, water rates highest in the country, poorly paid wages lower than the national average, high county wide unemployment (higher than the national average.) Identified as one of the poorest areas in the UK by Europe which seems bizarre when one thinks of all the folk that come here for holidays, but apart from the tourist sector, which is seasonal, there are few established major employers in the county. If I were you I would make sure you had a job to come you before you move.

Nice! I'd like to move to Devon to work, but computers are generally a big city thang, and it's hard to find good paying jobs in smaller places. So it remains a dream ;-)

But everyone needs cars, but I'm not sure you'd sell as many in Cornwall as in other parts of the country, so you may not make as much money, but it also might not cost you as much to live. Do it!

Why Cornwall? Everywhere needs cars I suppose so you should find work. If you have only been there on holiday then take some time to think about what you are doing carefully.

Cornwall is beautiful!! You'll have an excellent time!! Find a dealer you are interested in, call their head office or look at their website and see if they have offices in Cornwall. Also try looking through an agency or on job sites, Monster is good.

If you are a sales professional then the location should not be a problem. If you just like being around cars and dint invest in your selling career with on going training etc then get whatever job you can as you are relying on luck.

Plenty of car dealerships,.. Redruth, Cambourne, Hayle, Penzance, St.Austell, Falmouth and esp' Truro & surrounds,... Ford seem to be the most popular down there,... try those... good to Google them,.. ;o)
Go-to: http://www.ford.co.uk/ to find details of your nearest dealership,..
Of course; there's plenty of other car manufacturers with dealerships down there; just look for the manufacturers home-page and look for local dealerships; et voila! :)
