Nopes.. It is not the case..... You cant lose your Ram while playing online chess... but be careful of viruses and worms..

Any time you connect to the internet, you run the risk of viruses and hackers and malcreants.

If you play chess at a reputable site, you shouldn't have to worry about that.

All games cause some amount of memory leakage. The solution to that would be to reboot your computer. And I agree with the others, your friend is an idiot.
