I find myself feeling soporific and drowsy during work at morning hours...I find it impossible to sit at one place and carry on with my work...even though I take large cups of coffee and tea, it just doesn't seem to make me alert...so can U suggest any particular method or some kind of drug(without any side effects) which can make me alert and vivacious??

If coffee (caffiene) doesn't perk you up in the morning, I suspect the problem is likely something you need to look in to. What comes immediately to mind to me is the daytime lethargy and fatigue that comes as a result of sleep apnea. I strongly urge you to follow up with a pulmonologist and have a sleep study done.

Proper sleep is a very necessary part of good health. Regular bedtime and some exercise over a period will help your body to adjust. caffeine and other stimulants are not the answer.

Self discipline is the best way to go and no there is no safe "Magic pill".

my other half was drinking large amounts of coffee and tea and went to the doctors because he was feeling drowsey during work, it turned out he was haveing too much caffien ,the doctor said it had the reverse affect on him so he cut down to next to nothing and he was fine within a few days.
