I think we can learn the most from dogs, such as follows:
Never pass up the chance to take a joy ride.
When loved ones return, always run to greet them.
On hot days, lie in the shade and drink lots of water.
Delight in the simple joy of a long walk.
Never pretend to be something you're not.
When someone is having a bad day, keep silent, but be close by.
Never bite when a simple growl will do.
Be loyal, demand nothing in return.
Run, romp and play each day.
I'm sure there are more lessons, free for the asking................

1.) Humans are animals.
2.) Some humans learn a lot from animals, by observing how species survive in their natural surroundings. Perhaps we learned burrowing from animals, since primates typically don't burrow. We learned to fly by observing the possibility in birds and insects. A little reflection and you may add to this list. Since our greatest power as a species is thinking, the answer to your question is probably that we learned most of what we know by observing nature, then fabricating and extending what we saw.

What unconditional love reeeally is. How the simplest things in life could make you happy. How just acknowleding how much you love someone and showing them everyday can make you happy aswell. lol they´re really just cute little bundles of love in my opinion. :) Oh and you have to love how they react when you come back home from work..its like they havent seen you in 20 years or something lol. It just goes to show how they appreciate you just being there. Would be nice if humans were like that more often.

Perhaps we could learn that there are no obese animals alive in the wild, as they cannot survive effectively and therefore they are killed. Nature doesn't like fat things.
