Wizards have a longer life span than muggles.

Consider that the events in The Chamber of Secrets took place 50 years ago. Then add on 13, so Hagrid is 63 at the time of the second book. He looks good for his age.

In an interview a couple of years ago, J K Rowling mentioned that Dumbledore was 150 years old.

Most likely it is because Hagrid is half giant and they probably age slower.

maybe giants get older slower. however tom riddle disappeared early, and he is really evil so maybe the evil made him older looking and ugly.
