um, the boys aren't superior
but they are generally more agressive in nature, more dominating, that kind of thing

Try English, first, then debate.
There is no such thing as "more superior." "Superior" is the superlative-look it up.
Boys (young males of our species) are superior in only one area, and that are is dwindling, fast.
Physical strength is it.
When kids are younger than puberty, girls are often more agile, stronger, more aggressive than boys.
Then testosterone kicks in and boys quickly surpass girls in phsyical strength, and sometimes agility, and often aggression.
Girls are catching up, and SOME individual girls can out-run, out- box, out-shoot, and out-golf SOME boys.
As far as brains, strong birth-survival rates, generosity, empathy, tolerance of pain, creativity, assertiveness, and stamina, girls are equal to and in some cases, far superior to boys.
In some societies, women have run things, and any property was inherited throught the woman's family. They even had goddesses to back them up.
Boys are oftenTREATED as Superior, and often they THINK they ARE. That does not make it so.
And even if they have been treated as superior, and in every possible respect acted superior, look how they have treated people "less" than themselves:
slavery, cruelty, war, greed, torture and repressive religions, sexual misconduct. The is list is astounding.
That doesn't sound "superior" to me.
A superior person would be kinder than he had to be, more generous, honest when nobody was looking, gentle with underlings, polite and diplomatic to people who are different from him.
I have seen very few people like that. I am fortunate to be living with such a man.

God created men to be providers/protectors
and women to be nurturers/care givers
therefore in society people think that the man appears superior to women... this is partly because the man is the one to go out and fight and strive for the best in the world.. while a women is seen more as the helper, the caring one who gives encouragement to men. its sad that women these days have decided its not fair... that they should be out in the world and fighting men for equality... men and women are equal, and both roles very important, its just that women were made to be more successful in one area of life and men the other... women these days are so power craving, they are ruining the beauty of being a woman. woman aren't meant to be hard hearted, but sadly i see many women whose eyes show how cold they have become...

I think it's just brute unreasoning strength. A hold over from the ice age. And that is a very general statement. I would like to see that tempered in the near future though and look forward to more women in positions of power.
In ancient Egypt though there was a period where the land was passed down matrilinially and in the case of divorce, the woman kept the land.

They aren't superior. Men and women both have their strengths and weakness and each should be taken on a individual basis.
However women have been treated as such because our society (among others) has been patriarchial - and women seen as weaker, less intelligent, worth less.
It's also been reinforced by certain religions. You're talking centuries of (false) conditioning

They aren't in today's society -actually now I think boys are getting screwed over while girls have a lot of advantages.
But traditionally my idea is that men are usually more assertive and women are more easygoing.
I also read somewhere that supposedly men oppressed women because they were afraid of women because they can give birth.
