Yep, but you might want to go back to the piercer because they put them on pretty tight the first time, it's hard to unscrew the balls by yourself but the piercer can do it. Best wishes

Yes you can, but if you went through all the trouble of getting it pierced in the first place don't you think you should leave it in for a while to see if you like it then?
You might not like it because it's a foreign object and youre not used to it and once it grows on you, who knows.. you might like it more than you can imagine?
I heard from my friends that the first couple of weeks can be very frustrating and painful but they ended up liking it a lot and left it in for a few months before they got tired of it and decided to take it out.

Geez you hate it, and haven't even let yourself get past the swelling? You seem easily frustarated and not good with any kind of commitment. A tongue piercing was a good choice..because you can take it out this minute and let it heal. It doesn't sound like a fit for you, as it is.

If it was just recently pierced, then it will shut, but if it was (a week ago) then your tongue will shut, but less soon than if it would if you just recently got it pierced.

Yes you most certainly can. I'd suggest you gargle with salt water several times a day to prevent infection too.
