I'm 19 now and I'm 8 1/2 months.then i went and told my whole family. everyone was so happy for me. his parents took it the other way. telling him he ruined his life and they were disappointed in him. but hey they eventually got over it.

The first time I was pregnant, I was really nervous about telling my mom. I had never been a real kid-oriented person, I babysat but didn't like it, etc. I sat down on the couch next to her and said, "Mom, we're going to have a baby." The first thing out of her mouth was, "You don't even LIKE kids!"

Of course, everyone was thrilled when they got over the initial shock. My husband at the time was afraid to come over before I told them because he was afraid they would really rip into him. Couldn't have been farther from the truth. We were married, after all, and there is no shame in having a baby. It's the most natural, beautiful thing to create a new little life.

That was 12 years ago and I have 3 more, plus another on the way. I guess I proved my mom wrong! I LOVE my kids (just not babysitting for someone else's brats).

How I told my boyfriend at the time. I waited until we both came home from work and we were eating dinner. I said "I dont know when the last time i had my period was and i didnt get it this month, so i think i am pregnant" He then said lets go get a home test and see. It took me 4 test and they all said no, finally it was superbowl sunday 2003 and we were to drink, so a friend and i went to walmart and bought two test. It took the first test and then it was positve. My boyfriend who is now my husband was so excited. We were just starting off, living on our own, paying bills, etc.....Now I had to tell my parents and was scared to death. I told my mom on her birthday and when my father was in france for business. I bought two things of flowers and two cards. I let her open the card from us and when she got to the other card, i said that i had to pee and i left my hubby sitting in the living room with her. I had the bathroom door cracked and was looking in the mirror to see her face and it wasnt a nice one. She told my dad that night when he called that there was a possibility. I set up a doctors appt. and took my mom with me, when they told me i was pregnant i was excited. My mom told my father and he wouldnt talk to me for 3 days. He said we cant afford to raise a child just yet and the best thing would be to abort the baby. well that ticked me off because i dont believe in them and couldnt believe that he would say something like that. I was 20 when we found out so i told my mom that i missed a pill. That kind of smoothed things over. They were not excited but after a while they start to come around and now my parents are proud grandparents of my two girls. Friends were excited and my brother was ticked because he thought that he should have had their first grandkids because he was older. So good luck with everything

I fell pregnant when I was 20 hun and I was so scared at telling my family! But although they were shocked at first, everyone soon started getting really excited about it! Sit them all down and just say "Im pregnant, keeping it and happy with my choice".Your family will respect your wishes and be happy for you! So stop fretting and start shopping for little booties and baby grows! If you want any advice or just a chat about the experience your yet to come.. feel free hun! with my first child, my parents were excited. I was 20 year old when I had him It was their first grandchild. The other 2 kids I had. It was like my parents were saying, "Okay you gonna stop now." I took their advice and stopped with 3. I have 3 boys. I would say if you are the right age to have children then they "WILL" talk to you because it is always scarey when a parent finds out that their child if pregnant. Now days, it is much harder to raise a child then it was when our parents raised us. Don't depend on all the goverment help you can get either. Most parents are upset too cause sometimes they fill that they will be raising their grandchild. (Most actually do)

My husband was very happy all 4 times. It took us 3 yrs. of trying for the first child. Dr. said because I was on the birth control pill for 5 yrs. it would take longer to get pregnant. He sure was right! One of my Aunt's on my Dad's side said, "Oh God what were you thinking? As ugly as your husband is, you will not have pretty babies." That really ticked me off and it took a while but I did confront her and she said sorry. I do have 3 beautiful daughters!!!

i went and bought some baby clothes with my husband. Then we had over our parents, sisters, brothers for dinner and I said: So, I was shopping today and I bought the most beautiful clothes" and started taking the clothes out and showed the a little white jacket and a little white pair of socks....there was silence in the room like for 3 seconds and then they all started screaming and jumping! It was so funny looking at their faces trying to process the info. They had some wine and were very happy.. my mom cried a lot and called all of her friends from her mobile. Happy day for me.

Dont pay any attention to the idiots that leave you stupid answers, they should be reported. Anyways when I took my first test...the line was faint I went to get another one then went to my sister-in-law, she told me to wait till tomorrow. I couldnt wait so I left there took another one, same thing, then I went to a friends hosue to see what she thought. And then I went to another friends house to see what she thought. lol by the end of the night everybody knew! With my mom I just blurted it out. I couldnt keep it from anybody! I was excited :-) I loved being able to tell everybody, I was pregnant. It's a great feeling.

I waited until I had my first sonogram done, then i took the pics they gave me, and made several copies, and bought a bunch of inexpensive picture frames. Put the pics in wrapped them all up in bags and stuff... different sizes to throw them off lol THen let them all open them at the same time. They were extatic! Its a cheap way of spreadin the news w/o sayin a word lol Good Luck :)
