Depends on how "in depth" the drug screen is. In a full forensic toxicology study it would be detected and quantitiated. For some of the superficial employment screening techniques, they look for specific drugs of abuse: opiates, amphetamines, marijuana, alcohol, benzodiazepines, barbiturates, PCP and cocaine. Lidocaine would not show up in that case.

Don't know how easily attainable this information would be from your employer, though.
