I'm very good at doing math in my head. There are lots of neat shortcuts that I use, but the exact shortcuts depend entirely on the problem. There's no one "formula" I can give you.
For multiplication, I use lots of doubling and halving, or multiplying by ten and subtracting one... for example, to calculate 132 * 49, I would calculate:
132 * 100 = 13200
Divide that by 2 to get 132*50
13200/2 = 6600
Subtract 132 to get 132*49
6600 - 132 = 6468.
Similar tricks work for division. Square and cube roots usually aren't worth the trouble, unless they are perfect (meaning that the root doesn't have decimals). I have a bunch of the perfect squares/cubes memorized, and for the ones that aren't perfect, it's easier to find a calculator than to calculate the root by hand. Especially since in real world applications, I hardly ever have to do roots.
As with any skill, mental math does take practice, but it's neat when you get really good at it.

I dont understand what exactly you question is. Of course you can calculate those operations without using a calculator. If the operations are too complicated, you will have to use a logarithm table or Taylor series.
If your answer is how to calculate in a fast way, well there are some tips available, but Id like you to ask about a single operation. I cant explain all them here, this would be too long

Some old hand books had various table.
We were required to learn it by heart.
The book may have title " Hand book of Mathematics and Physics". It also had all kind of formula.
"Mathematics and Physics" Tables.
PS
There are methods of finding SQ. root and Cube Roots.
For Multiplication and Division brush up on your elementary skills.
Go to the library and ask a librarian one who looks old enough for the book.

Yes, but if I told it, it would make school way too easy.
Seriously - no. There are various methods/tricks that will make some of these calculations easier but no instant formula...

i'm no longer non secular, yet I do have heavy sociological / anthropological heritage. in case you experience the want to "concern" your God, then it truly is because you experience responsible for something, or you want to experience victimized. maximum persons do not concern their God. They love their God. God is like the perfect chief. As Machiavelli suggested, a sturdy chief might want to be both loved and feared. If he's basically loved, then people will nevertheless do what they prefer hostile to his desires at circumstances. If he's basically feared, then they received't love their very own lives, surely doing what he needs out of outrage of ramifications. in the adventure that they love and concern him, then they're going to do what he needs out of affection and appreciate first, and out of outrage 2d. enable me attempt to apply a diverse analogy for God... God, in maximum peoples' eyes, is type of a sturdy figure. a sturdy figure makes use of two aspects love and a million area self-discipline to ensure people lead a sturdy existence. a million area love is unconditional. God loves you unconditionally, because you're his creation. (basically as a figure loves their new child unconditionally). a million area love is for effective reinforcement. God exhibits you want to reward your sturdy habit. it is what maximum persons call "advantages", "miracles", etc. moms and dads do an analogous with them little ones; supply them hugs even as they succeed. a million area self-discipline is used for detrimental reinforcement. God punishes people even as they have been undesirable. moms and dads do an analogous to little ones. Now, maximum persons will keep on with a Godly existence because they appreciate and love God by using at least a million area unconditional love, and a million area effective reinforcement. If that would not artwork then they concern the a million area self-discipline. besides the undeniable fact that, what's "blessing" and "punishment" from God is subjective. diverse religions, or perhaps persons, may even see something as a blessing even as others see it as a curse. each body can see although they prefer into something. even as a mom hugs a baby, it truly is fantastically tangible that that's a hug. yet, even as someone exhibits $5 on the line is that a blessing? What if it basically facilitates them to do something undesirable? i imagine the more desirable proper thanks to seem at God is that he supplies people possibilities. The $5 is a risk. How the guy chooses to apply that risk dictates even if that's a "blessing" or "curse".
