I don't believe WE are considered lower class! I have been a stay at home wife and mother for over 18 years, i have worked here and there but being a mom and a wife is my job! for those people who think we are lower class, let me tell you something, with out us the children of this world (our future) would not no how to do much! we teach them everything from talking to walking to eating and learning! and for you men out there that we marry, if your mother had been a stay at home mom or/and wife we wouldn't have to teach you all that we do! we are respected, for the people who don't think so, well these people are among a wide group that thinks making money is all that is important. when what is really important is family and your home, these things to me mean more then a 60,000 a year job! i would rather be proud that my child graduates college or high school then of how much my paycheck is! and as far as i am concerned if more people felt the same way as me, the country, the world, wouldn't be in such ruff shape! its called values.

Why all the hostility? listen up all working spouses with stay at home spouses. The clothes magically pick themselves up, wash themselves, dry themselves, fold themselves, iron themselves and put themselves up on their own. The house is magical and you have brownies living in your walls that do all the housework at night when you are sleeping. There is a maid fairy that travels around and cleans houses while you are work, they take a sock each time, that is why there is always a sock missing.
No you silly person. Stay at home spouses work just as hard as anyone else who punches a timeclock. The only difference is that they are at work 24/7 and that they never receive a paycheck for anything they do. And especially no overtime or vacation time.
If the spouse did not stay at home then you would have to pay someone to do the work for you, practically slave labor and the spouse doesn't even complain. Go Figure.

I am not a stay at home wife, yet I do believe that stay at home mother's have a really hard job. I don't have kids yet therefore I want to work, because I get bored sittin at home. Yet, if I didn't wanta do that I would engage in outta activites like painting, dancing, the gym etc. YET. don't call women that stay at home lower class because that is unnecssary and untrue. Mother's work really hard to raise there children, and in the end get slck for it if there children true out bad. Give some credits to women who take care of there children because its not an easy job. You have to make sure you are raising and taking care of a whole HUMAN without the human gettin hurt, or messed up in any way. Trust me if you think its so easy u sould try it. If you just tryin to cause controversy then you need to grow up. Hopefully if u aren't married ull get someone who has to stay at HOME....then we will see who's LOW CLASS. Secondly many stay at home mothers can afford to while there husbands work...therefore its not LOW CALASS Its living like a QUEEN....BYE

this is your opinion? How sad! I am going to give you my opinion. I'm a housewife and I'm not considered in any ones eyes I know that I'm lower class. You see it takes a lot of very hard work to keep a household up and running. That doesn't include raising children. And as to your comment as to thinking we are real human beings? Just were to you think you came from. You have a very low opinion of women, I hope you rethink your question. I mean no disrespect towards your opinion. But you disrespected a lot of women. You have a mother that is a woman as well. You asked your question and this is your answer.

Dude, I'm a stay at home dad, and I know that alot of women who do this day after day should be commended for such a good job their doing. It takes alot, and even more, giving things up to be home with the kids. There's not much going out anymore, there's too much cooking and cleaning going on....and it's depressing sometimes cause it feels like a Denny's or something with a laundry mat attachment........oh and don't forget everything else in between! A stay at home mom is a hard working woman, and they should donwright be appreciated more, and given a whole day off a week for just them......I wish I did!

I cook every meal, i do at LEAST 4 loads of laundry a day, i mow, i paint, i feed animals, i clean the whole house, i clean the floors, scrub toilets, bathe the kids, make sure all homework is done, im a room mother at their school, i do all the running around, grocery shopping, cub scouts, wen night church activities, I would LOVE to see you handle my job without pulling your hair out. Get over yourself buddy cause it wont get you too far acting like you do!!! Besides the fact that i dont have any time for friends anymore, i go out MAYBE once every 2 months. MAYBE. Being a stay at home mom is about like you working 2 FULL time jobs. Dont underestimate us :) Have a Good Day :)

Stay at home moms are respected. And a very important part of their familys life. If others dont believe that then they shouldnt voice it. They are the lower class not the moms.

i find this very offensive! i am a stay at home mom and i consder myself very respected. i take care of my 3 month old, manage all the money, clean the house after you men come in and wreck the place, cook dinner, wash the dishes, wash the laundry, go grocery shopping, wash the car, and anything else that can be done around the house. i love my husband but he would be LOST without me at home.
why dont you try working all day and then getting woken up 3 times a night to change diapers and feed a baby, then still get up at 6 AM to clean and cook and make sandwiches for your spouse's lunch and everything else before you make an ignorant comment like that one. if anyone has no respect, its you.

You know you are extremely stupid. I don't have children and I have the up most respect for moms around the world. Apparently you didn't have a mom. Or if you did she would be so disappointed in you. You are the reason I think it should be legal for mothers to eat their young. I can't believe that you are really that big of an idiot. I will pray that by some miracle God will give you a brain.

Why is it ignorant idiots with no life like yourself ...?
are so pathetic as to need the negative attention of complete strangers? Does it make you feel like a real human being? Certainly your opinion is not respected. And, your post proves you are definitely lower class.
