stripping membranes doesn't guarantee labor.
it helps things progress, but it could be tonight, 3 days, 2 weeks....
my OB starting stripping my membranes 2 weeks ago and at our last visit there wasn't anything more she could do and she started talking to me about inducing labor.
so, we'll see what she says tomorrow.

no one can tell when you'll go into labor.....but stripping membranes can help hurry it along, but it's not like inducing you.

hang in there....you're on the home stretch!

If your body is not ready to have this baby then stripping of the membranes will not induce labour. I have known many women who have had this procedure done with no success and others who probably would have had their baby in a day or two anyways show immediate success.
You most likely will have alot of cramping today. You may have spotting and alot of discharge. This is normal.
If your body is ready then you will most likely start labor within 12-48 hours.

It may not work at all, try to stay relaxed as it can happen any time may be not today or tomorrow and it may come next week or the week after. A baby will come when he or she is ready to come. It is a waiting game I'm afraid. But good luck.

My waters broke about 24 hours later and then contractions started about 12 hours after that. But it's not always enough to start labour if your body isn't quite ready.
