When your baby is about six months old, you’ll have a better idea of eye color as pigmentation begins to form and brown or darker eyes might appear. The baby’s eye color should be determined by about age one, although some individuals may experience eye color changes through adulthood.

My daughter is 5 months old and has amazing blue eyes. Her doctor says her eyes won't change. We both have blue eyes. But because you have brown and your husband has blue. Your baby's eyes can change up until about a year.

I would say definitely by 1 year old. I'm sure they could probably still change now, I see things saying somewhere around 6 - 8 months, but I don't know if it's true. My daughter kept her grayish, blue eyes, her dad has blue, and I have brown.

I have blue eyes and my daughter's father has brown eyes. Her eyes were blue until she was 9 months old...then they turned brown. But she's 9 years old now and her eyes are a sort of greenish brown...kind of a hazel color I suppose. So, yes, I suppose your daughter's eyes could turn brown eventually, but then again, maybe they will stay blue. Whatever color they may turn out to be .... wish them to be uniquely hers! :)

Also, congrats to you on the birth of your baby girl!! Children are so much fun!! I hope you enjoy being a parent as much as I do...I'm sure you will!! Best wishes!! :)

When i took child development years ago in high school they said that all babies are born with blue eyes. If they dont change for 6 mon. that they wont change they will stay that color. I have blue eyes and my husband has brown. I oldest had blue eyes and we waited to see if they would change. when she was 6 mons. they did get lighter but they stayed blue. My youngest is 3 mons. and her eyes have not changed yet but 6 mons is not up yet so only time will tell.

typically both my children's changed within the first month to two. every baby is different tho. is it that dark newborn blue that looks like it could be brown? if they haven't darkened or gotten even the slightest bit brown i would say it's a safe bet that they're gonna be blue! how pretty!
