The definition of a photographic memory is in the name.

Eidetic memory, photographic memory, or total recall, is the ability to recall images, sounds, or objects in memory with great accuracy and in seemingly unlimited volume. Eidetic comes from the greek word eidos which means "image."

By the techincal definition no one has photographic memory. In my Psychology major we spent a good time discussing this but in order for your memory to be photographic in a technical term you should be able to open a door, go into a room you have never seen, blink once and keep your eyes shut, then without opening your eyes be able to recall everything in the room, like a camera would take a photo.
Now if you just want to test how good your memory is, there are plenty of excercises out there, you can try a local university.

It's pretty simple actually. If I say to you the word door, does a picture of a door crop up in you head, or does the word door or any other word ascociated with doors come into your head like, knocker, letter box, window... If the picture crops up, chances are you have a photographic memory. It also helps if you can recall things you have only seen once, in great detail.

I was told this in a degree Psychology class.

Look at a book that you have never seen before (no more than 2 seconds), and close your eyes, and if you can visualize everything, and be able to see every word on that page, then you know that you have photographic memory.

I don't know if it's a trick or anything, but people learn differently than other people and that is what makes some people excel at some things and other people at other things.
I can recollect by closing my eyes and "thumbing" through old files until I can come up with an answer. I am not an intellectual thinker of sorts, but I can recall with better clarity things that I have written or drawn.
I totaly suck at remembering conversations though. Ask my wife- she'll agree.

Remembering things from a while back is not "photograhic" memory, just good memory.

Take this simple test.. read a page of the book, if you can remember all or most of the words by reading just once, then you have photographic memory. Photographic means you can remember things as if you took a picture of it, and you can see that picture in your head.

It is total recall with speed and accuracy. Have someone make a list of say, kinds of dogs, show it to you for one minute, then have you repeat it back name for name. The list needs to be at least a page long
