Beyond the (futile) efforts of the US to rid Iran of nukes (which Iran does not have), lie the scores of loose nukes in the former Soviet Republics, available to the highest bidder, which in any case will be either a terrorist group or what you Americans love to dub a "rogue" nation.

I believe that the first post-Hiroshima/Nagasaki nuke will be detonated in Iraq, in Baghdad precisely, where the puppet Government will sit. Some Shiite rogue group will attack the army headqarters and government complexes, which were built by Saddam to withstand bomb blasts. It will be a 1Mt bomb, since those are the easiest to carry around. And most likely it will be detonated by a suicide bomber, the Mother of All Suicide Bombers, the Ultimate Terrorist....9/11 will be but a roughup in comparison. Mark my words. It will happen unless more attention is paid to these loose nukes.

North Korea may also sell one, they're starving.

I consider such speculation to be very bad conjure magic. It makes the assumption that there will be another (after all, Nagasaki was a very long time ago now; we've restrained ourselves). And if there will be some day, it makes the even more depressing assumption that it will be soon enough that we can see the factors leading up to it even today. I don't give credit to either of these assumptions.

As I say, we've restrained ourselves pretty well by now. I think anyone with access to nuclear weapons has to think three times about what they are for. They are the ultimate "deterrent" weapon, but only if you use them as threats, not weapons. You have to really build them to act as threats, of course; but you really have to assume they are the very, very last option. Because you have to assume that no government, and darn little in the way of civilization, would survive such a war. Perhaps the entire planet would be made uninhabitable. Since we do not yet have colonies on any other planet, we'd be gone. History.

I Think that Iran will before N. Korea. We wont make the first hit. Look at history, we always get hit first even if we know it's coming. The leader of N. Korea is crazy but he is also very smart. His goal is to get more money and aid from us. The leader of Iran is just plain crazy.

Korea...its been obvious...theyre just waiting for the right moment..or Iran if they really are making nuclear weapons and not just nuclear energy to heat homes.

I think an Iranian funded, extremeist group will detonate a large device in London. I don't think they are ballsy enough to do it here, but by hitting someone like England, in their sick minds they will think they are hurting us by hitting one of our allies.

If they do, do this, I only hope that it will open the eyes of the rest of the world and everyone will get on the job to hunting these
******* down like we are.

Judging by history ..America will.. we are the only ones who ever have we are the only one sanctimoniously hypocritical enough to do it...but it will be out of shear desperation...the world wont end in a bang...but in a whimper

Definitely the USA.
Then we'll help rebuild the country again like we did in Japan.
Why?
Because that is what superpowers do...
