I know that there is a trick to roughly estimate what a temp is in C degrees to F degrees. Like you double the C and add 10 or something. Does anyone know what I am talking about? I can't remember what the trick is. Your help would be great!

NO!! I mean a trick you can do in your head to roughly estimate it. You don't need a caculator for it.

I used it when I traveled in Asia. My sister is going to Europe and I thought she could use it also, instead of wipping out a caculator all the time.

Double it and add 30 to get your answer... eg 21 degrees C = 21 plus 21 = 42 plus 30 = 72 degrees F

To convert C degrees to F, just multiply the C by 2 and add 32 to the out come. off course it will be approximate. To be more accurate do as follow:
((C x 2)-(C x 0.2)) + 32 by this you wil get correct conversion.
i.e if we have 30 C:
((30 x 2)-(30 x 0.2)) + 32= (60-6)+32=86 F

You take a Celcius temperature, multiply by 1.8, and add 32 to get Fahrenheit. The conversion is exact, not an estimate. I guess if you really want to make it quicker and can accept some error, you could double it and add 30 instead.

To convert a Fahrenheit temperature into Celsius:
Tc = (5/9)*(Tf-32)
For example, to convert a Fahrenheit temperature of 98.6°F into degrees Celsius, first subtract 32 from the Fahrenheit temperature to get 66.6. Then you multiply 66.6 by five-ninths to get 37°C.
To convert a Celsius temperature into degrees Fahrenheit:
Tf = ((9/5)*Tc)+32
For example, to convert a Celsius temperature of 100 into degrees Fahrenheit, first multiply the Celsius temperature reading by nine-fifths to get 180. Then add 32 to 180 and get 212°F.

for a rough estimate the method is to double C and then add 30.
0C becomes 30 F (actually 32F)
10C becomes 50F (actually 50F)
20C becomes 70F (act 68F)
30C becomes 90F (act 86F)
40C becomes 110F (act 104F)
Hope this helps with her trip
