I don't feel FIFA have any right to force this issue. If it is going to be worked out or reconciled it has to be a decision made between the two themselves or it will be meaningless and far from sincere. FIFA are overstepping their boundaries holding off Zidanes punishment. Matterzzi has served his and I feel Zidane should be able to serve his now also, not have it held over his head and used by FIFA as a marketing tool. Whether he was right or wrong is not the issue here. Blatter does not have the right to demand how others deal with things that are so personal. I don't think many of us would appreciate someone else telling us who we have to forgive or when. Just another means for Blatter to over estimate his own self importance.

Personally I think it's better to move on. It's clear that everybody makes mistakes, but the important thing is to be mature and learn from it. I also believe that both Materazzi and Zidane have done this after the event.
I just think FIFA just wants to see a solid end to this event, because they feel that it has not been approached yet.

I read that last night and I couldn't believe what I was reading. If there is going to be a reconciliation then Materazzi should be the first to apologize because he started it.

It's stupid. Nobody can force Zidane be friends with Materazzi (or Materazzi be friends with Zidane). If they want they can make it up themselves and FIFA will never help them.

I think they have to leave them a lone. Because no one can force somebody to be a friend with somebody else.In fact no need.May be its for marketing purpose.

i think it's a pretty weird idea...and if it takes place i don't think it would work, it's probably just a marketing purpose for S.A.

I think they "Fifa" should leave things alone, the more fuss they make the worst it will be...............Hope Zidane does not go along with it.

it's the best idea ever..they are both icons,so they should show the right example by being friends..however,we can't force both of them..
