You need to talk to your doctor and make him/her aware of your headaches. Unfortunately headaches are a common ailment in pregnancy. Tylenol is safe, I hope it helps.

First of all, I had a history of tormenting headaches before I ever became pregnant. My first pregnancy helped a lot with my headaches and my back pain( damaged nerves from an early accident) With my second, I wouldn't be able to go two days without one. Fortunately, My doctor ran some tests and told me that I needed to be drinking more water on top of all the water I was already drinking. It may sound a little unorthodox, but it's the truth. And if that doesn't do quite enough or it doesn't do anything at all, have your doctor test you for pre-eclampsia. You should talk to your doctor anyway because pre-eclampsia is very serious and can cause you to miscarry.

Yes, headaches are very normal in the begining of your pregnancy. I had bad headaches every day for the first few months with both my pregnancies. The dr. said Tylenol is your friend and is safe to take as directed.

Talk to your doctor. If tylenol doesn't help, ask for an MRI. This happened to my friend and it turned out she had a brain tumor. Granted, that was an extreme case, but it started out with basic headaches.

She is doing fine now, by the way.

Tylenol is the only over-the-counter that is safe and usually works pretty well if it's "just a headache". If you are having migraines (sensitivity to light, etc.) let your doctor now. Sometimes its a hormonal thing that happens with pregnancy but he may be able to give you a prescription that would be safe to take to help you get through it.

That is a very common symptom of pregnancy. It really isn't safe to take anything for the headaches while you are pregnant though...Ask your doctor about taking some herbal remedies. Some camomile should help the situation.

I'm 20 weeks, same prob. It is most often a) hormones, which you can take tylenol for, but you really shouldn't take it unless it is unbearable; b) dehydration: lots of fluids, gatorade too! c) tension or sinus headaches from changes in your body, warm washcloth on the face, neck massage, and other typical remedies will help. Really try and avoid pills if you can, though.

The headaches could be due to all the hormone changes that are occuring in your body. This is normal. If you experience blurry vision then I would talk to your doctor. Otherwise just mention the headaches during your next visit and he may give you advice on how to ease them.

Good luck and congrats!

I had the same problem- they were freakin horrible. First, speak with your doctor and see what he/she says. I heard that Tylenol was okay, but today they're saying not to take medicines while pregnant. Chamomile tea really helped me with mine. CONGRATS on the baby- it's truly the most awesome thing in the world!! Good luck.

This might sound really crazy but it really does work for me when i get bad headaches. Drink alot of water. Not really sure how it works but it takes mine away within about a half hour. I read it in a medical pamphlet somewhere. And drinking water is good for you anyway when you are pregnant.

Good luck and i hope this helps you some!!!!!
