For me - Portugal winning over England in quarter-final. I was really worrying they'd lose. But,oh,joy!!! They won. I was jumping all over the room (mother thought I had gone mad with too much of football that days.)

minijh91: Nooo,my mom had been saying, that I'm crazy during the all WC. She couldn't believe I was watching "that trash" as she said. But at the end she was infected with soccer too - supported Italy. :)

I agree 100% with you.......the most exciting game was Portugal winning England.........I had a bet with a friend, and boy I was so happy, my entire household were singing and dancing with hapiness...............

Zidane showing he wont put up with peoples s**t anymore!! That was an exciting moment for me! If Materratzi had said that about your family i think a lot of people would have reacted in a similar way!
And as for Portugal beating England, that was not exciting that was pure s**t! Rooney should never have been sent off for pushing Ronaldo, they both should have got a yellow card and that would have been the end of it! Wayne never stamped on the other player, he stood back and stood on him accidently, if he had stamped on him, that player would still be having surgery now! Thats why he never got booked for that! Ronaldo shouldn't have behaved like he did but nor should Rooney! But i suppose it was all quite exciting in a way!

the game between england and sweden.. it was exciting coz i thought the long years of waiting for any side to win might end that day..(for 42 or 48 years, every time that two sides meet it always ends with a draw..).. well it ended with a disappointing draw 0f 2-2..with sweden scoring a late-late goal..grr..

honestly, there was this game, i think trinidad & tobago vs. sweden. now, this might not seem like a very exciting game on print, but if you saw it, then you know what i mean. t & t was making their world cup debut, and was playing a european powerhouse like sweden. obviously sweden had this one in the bag. wrong! t & t held on to a tie, but what blew me away about this game, was the way t & t played. you could see they played their hearts out, and eventhough they tied, at the end, they celebrated as if they had won! they were cheering and celebrating, that i couldn't help but celebrate with them. many games were exciting for me, and, being and fan of argentina, i loved the maxi rodriguez goal vs. mexico. but this game (t & t vs. sweden) stands out as the most exciting moment of the world cup.
