Both of my pregnancies, four different kinds of pregnancy tests, they all read negative... I just couldn't shake the feeling that something was wrong with me. I had ruled out pregnancy, since the tests ALL said negative.... Then I went to my local Health Department, peed in a cup and had a blood test done, because I was complaining that it felt like "someone with really long fingernails was scratching me up in there" and Doc came back smiling, said "Congratulations, blah blah" and I passed out. no kidding. So yeah, you need to see the Doc, or at least go to the Health dept. Good Luck

Yes, I have had this happen. I was actually 2 months pregnant before the tests came back positive. I FELT pregnant but I didn't test positive. Even the doctor's office didn't detect the pregnancy. I guess I didn't have enough of the right hormone (I think it's progesterone but I could be wrong about that) to indicate pregnancy early on. Our daughter was born in March, 2002, and everything came out fine, just that she was a bit of a welcome "surprise" to my then-fiance' and I (we're married now).

You seem to know how your body responds to being pregnant, especially since you've had multiple pregnancies already. You know best. The doctors can just "guestimate" at this point. A blood test will be more accurate than the dip-in-the-urine test.

Good luck!

When you become pregnant your body releases a hormone from your pituitary gland, their has been women that don't release any or only a little hormone from the pituitary gland and this hormone Is what shows up on your pregnancy test, you might have to go In to your doctor and take a blood test for they are 100% accurate and the results will show up. I wish you the best and I hope everything goes your way!

it hasn't happened to me, but I know a few people who had the pleasant surprise of a negative test which turned out to be a liar. :)

Sometimes urine tests aren't as accurate as they say because contrary to what they say, the body does not secrete the pregnancy hormone all the time. The best sure-fire way to tell if you're pregnant is to schedule an appointment with your doctor and get a blood test. They are way more accurate than a urine test.

By 2 weeks after your period is due, you should definitley have a positive result, but just to be sure take another one. You should see your doctor as well. Sometimes people will have a early miscarriage and not know, and that may be whey you didn't have a period, and the tests are negative.

Most home pregnancy tests are very reliable, but you could get a blood test and that would definitely confirm if you are pregnant or not. You may have gotten pregnant late in your cycle and don't have enough hormone to show in the home urine test yet.

not me personally, but I had a neighbor that every test she took (even the dr's tests) said she wasn't. They gave her an ultra sound to see what was going on, and there was a little baby. False negatives are more common than false positives, have your doctor run a test.
Good luck!

Home pregnancy tests aren't always conclusive. My sister had exactly the same thing happen to her - perhaps the test was a dud, or something went wrong somewhere. Best to visit the doctor straight away.

My sis in law took a pregnancy test 3 times with my nephew. She finally went to the Dr's so they could do a blood test. Good Luck

I would go to the doctor. Sometimes the home test can't pick up the pregnanct hormone if there isn't enough. I would go to your doctor and find out. You certainly could be pregnant.
