Does John Howard think that by allowing immigrants into this country who require economic assistance he is reducing the standard of living for the rest of us, and by allowing negative gearing to continue he makes it harder and harder for new home buyers to buy housing due to the fact that investors are buying out all the houses and pushing prices out of reach of the average Australian. Does he realise do you think that he is doing this great country of ours longterm harm? Do you think he can see that he is decreasing the standard of living for the average Australian citizen and sending us down the path of the UK where the majority of people struggle to exist from day to day but where people such as himself live an easy life seemingly ignorant of the plight of people below him. Do you think he actually cares?

It's called Globalization. Howard is part of the triangle of evil, with Blair and Bush. I bet he has been invited to the Bohemian Grove July get together.

I was not aware that John Howard was making Immigration easy in Australia, but if he is, then surely he would not be welcoming unskilled workers, but skilled ASIAN labour which would not be a bad thing for ALL Australians especailly if that Asian Labour provides Jobs in the long run.

I also thought that Australia was a part of the global economy and that being so, mean that what happens in the USA and U.K will eventually find its way to your country as well as a matter of course. Real Estate markets worldwide are poised for a downturn now because of the USA market falls this year. This has nothing to do with Immigration and even John Howard cannot stop the market slide as a result of price increases in Australia. It moves in cycles from one country to another. Downturn in one upturn in another. read the book "The Downwave" by Bob Beckman. Will open your eyes.

Because he is told what to do by others.
Like multinational corporations and the one percent of the rich people. Weather or not they live in Britain, USA or Australia.

They call the tune and Howard plays along..

He knows how hard it is for the workers.
Because he as just given all MPs a pay rise.
He thinks they need it more than the people do.

That is the reason he does what he does.
Our living stands do not come into his thoughts.
