its used to scare the uninformed.
ITs a cyclical deal. thats a fact according the the real experts.
not the nonexpert experts politicians tend to use (good & bad).
Example: recent patterns of warming are not new..
We had similar in the 1940's.
And we have had even warmer in the past before that.
If one beleives in global warming, one is brainwashed with bogus facts and opinions, and not real facts.

There has only ever been two studies...neither peer reviewed, and one by someone who was not a Doctor of Climateology...he only had a masters in biology...that have ever said that there is no global warming, and that our actions have nothing to do with the state of the environment.
Both studies were funded by right-wing think tanks, which were in turn funded by the RNC.
Both studies were were completely discredited by real scientists around the world.
Every peer-reviewed study has pointed very directly towards humans causing a radical change in the weather patterns.
Conservatives always ignore the truth whenever it doesn't support what they are doing (which is practically never). They lie, they steal, they murder, and the sheep believe every stupid lie, even after the lies have been admitted to being lies!
Real science says that we need to make some changes if we want the human race to survive...if we want our children to survive...if we don't want the catastrophic effects to devistate our world.
All of this can be done. We can live with minimal pollution pretty easily...the only reason we don't is because of a few greedy people.
Ever heard of Nikolai Tesla? A great inventor who invented a/c power and possibly the light bulb (Thomas Edison, commonly credited with the light bulb funded most of Tesla's research, and took credit for many of his inventions...or at least owned the patents).
Back in the '20s, Tesla found a way to get free, unlimited, wireless electricity from the sky. By sending low-frequency radio waves into the ionosphere, elecricity would flow back down the radio wave, where it could be collected and stored.
By use of this technology, the entire world could have all the energy they need for free...wirelessly!
The reason this hasn't happened? Edison owned the patent because he funded the research. So he hid the patent away so he could stay in business. The patent is still sitting in a vault somewhere. Meanwhile, we are fighting wars for oil, which is toxic and causes massive pollution...and global warming!
Plastics are also made from oil. This creates even more pollution. Every type of plastic made today can also be made with hemp seed oil. The production of plastics made from hemp seed oil creates a fraction of the pollution of petroleum based plastic manufacture. They can also be made to be biodegradable.
Why is it that people on the right are so intent on destroying our world?
Doesn't the bible say to be good stewards of the world that God has given us?

mother earth has had cycles mini ice ages and mini warming periods the science is in. Greenland was once green ask the vikings. but Aside from that one thing science has also been able to calculate is the CO2 in the atmosphere right now As you breath this air the ppm parts per million of co2 is 420. in 1960 it was 312 ppm the figure of 420 ppm is the highest it has been ever. What you fail to realize is the sun was responsible for much of the earlier mini ice ages and mini warming periods. Read About Robert Roy Britt. he is one of the leading experts of the sun. he is calculating increased solar activity in the next 12 years at up to 30% at the magnetic reversion or when the poles of the sun change. and he says with the increased amounts of CO2 i t will make the situation even worse !because of the greenhouse effect. want simple proof Planet mercury just about touches the sun and planet Venus is twice as far away from the sun as mercury . mercury has little atmosphere and Venus is mostly CO2 Venus get's much hotter and stays much hotter why my friend? because of the CO2.!

See now here is the problem I have with the Bush administrations view on global warming. As a religious man one would think Bush believes in creation, which states that the earth is about 6,000 years old.So how could global warming possibly be part of a climate change that according to evolution would take millions of years to develop. He just wont admit that his bad policies are making things worse for the environment nor does he care. If you dont believe global warming you are an idiot.Oh and if you drive a massive SUV you are an even bigger idiot.

It's very probably us, the studies that point to a natural cycle, rather then a human induced one, mostly look like a paid attempt to delay action, by groups interested in the Present Status of fossil fuels consumption

Yes they do. It is just a cycle. We're overdue for an ice age and the evidence shows that the earth warms just prior to ice ages. We are also overdue for a pole shift which also affects weather patterns and tectonic activity. While we may not all agree on cause/effect, I think we can all agree that something is not normal about the weather (at least the weather we're accustomed to).

Gore is correct and when water is in short supply due to the rapid melting of the ice caps you will be screaming for thirst. Bush is the real terror of our country. He likes to use scare tactics to keep unrest so he and his corporate buddies can keep it hot and the gas stock high. Lower that gas right before mid term elections ! And of course it will go back up after it gets cold because of high demand. Lets all hope we get some Democrats in their to slap those bad Republicans on the *

I really couldn't tell what is really happening. Sometimes I doubt we have the power to unbalance nature....I know we cause lots of pollution, but just to what extent we're changing the climate is not quite clear.
And yes, politicians will always use whatever is in their hand to gain voters to their side.
I know better than to trust a politician. I've been around long enough not to.

I think we need to leave this question to climatological experts. Science should never be politicized. It corrupts the finding and results in attacks on new theories.
