I agree with you. Dead animal is not fashion. It's disgusting. Maybe back when there was no electricity and they used the furs to stay warm it was acceptable but this day in age it's just yucky.

Personally, I probably wouldn't ever buy anything with real fur. I'd go faux if I ever wanted anything fur. But I'm also of the opinion that if the animal is killed for food, it's best to use as much of the animal as possible, including the fur. As for the protestors who throw paint on people's fur coats, I don't understand why someone would do that. Yes, there might be cruelty in killing the animals just for the fur, but if you destroy the coat, then the animal really died for no reason. At least with the coat intact, the animal has had some purpose.

Well sometimes there is no way to tell true fur from faux fur, except to feel it. I wouldn't judge someone on the clothes they choose to, or can afford to wear. I love animal prints and vintage fashion. I have bought old, used items that had small pieces of fur. I am an animal lover and a realist. I think people who hate others for something like a coat.....are breeding hate. It really doesn't matter what you insert into that blank...Who hates people who wear brand New Adidas? It's just another thing some people are pointing out, and justifying why they are better for NOT wearing a certain something. Grow up people. All these over the top Vegans, are alo quite misguided. There are much better and more widely effective ways to promote animal rights...than boycotting milk and eggs for goodness sake. I think people need to look more at what they have in common with other people....and less at their differences and why they are better and kinder, or more AWARE...than someone else. You are breeding more hate and more ignorance ....with these kind of polls.

A LOT, that is, A LOT of things are made from animal carcasses or parts thereof. Look at ingredients of household items sometime. According to your logic you should not use any part of the animal, or it's just disgusting.
Are you a true vegetarian? If not, you eat, yes, DEAD ANIMALS!! OMG, you would put a dead animal in your mouth?
Do you own or wear any leather belts, shoes, or handbags? Would you have your car reupholstered in fine Italian leather if someone paid to do it for you?
C'mon, be sensible...unless you take this all the way, it's just hypocrisy.

Tell that to Jennifer Lopez, I think she must have a fur coat for every day of the year. I don't even find leather attractive, the artificial leather and furs are ok by me and are usually a lot cheaper to buy.

A gorgeous woman in nothing but a fur coat is really sexy imagery.

I've read some of the answers rec'd so far and agree with many. I think leather from "food-type" animals is OK, as it would be incredibly stupid to waste valuable items from an animal killed for sustinance (cow, pig, sheep, goat, emu, etc).
Raising or trapping animals for thier fur alone is immoral.

Humm, do you wear leather belts, leather shoes, eat meat? I find most often people will rant and rave about fur wearing a belt made from a cow. Illogical to me, and I don't care if you eat the cow or not - it is still the same thing!

ABSOLUTELY! It's awful.
Not to be judgemental, but all the people that wear fur coats that I know aren't the nicest people either. I know they used to be glamorous like with Jackie O, but now I think people are catching on that it is an awful industry and is not stylish.

I was raised that if you kill it you eat it. And use all the animal. In that case you should use the fur. If you are killing it just for the fur, then no I do not like fur on people.
