If you have pissed god off enough for him to send you to hell then wouldn't the devil praise you for doing so and there for you would be in heven?

The Devil does not 'rule' in hell. Hell is his punishment too.

Not exactly "science and maths" but...
I believe the general theory is that the devil doesn't think that way. He just enjoys torturing people, so if you get god pissed at you, and you turn up in hell, you're still going to get the punishment, cos thats the kind of guy the devil is. He doesn't believe that his enemy's enemy is his friend.
Or at least, that's what would happen if they existed...

well you'd think so, wouldn't you? But if the devil is doing god's will, as some theists maintain, then it's actually his job to give you as hard a time as possible!
Actually, he tells me that it's a real bugger coming up with all the ironic punishments that's expected of him. (And he gets no help, poor devil)

I reckon the Devil's still too miffed about his fall from grace and enjoys making others suffer.
For that reason, I'm sure the personal hell he has lined up for me involves Ant and Dec and Tom Jones......
