That's basically a marketing gimmick, right? You can burn any kind of data onto them?

I've never had any trouble with data on them.

music(digital data) cd's are not good for writing any other kind of data even tough you can burn anything on it.
why?
because on these cd's sometimes data gets corrupted while burning
so when you writing many data files on it n one of them gets corrupted then your whole project is messed up :D hehe
well i recommend TDK Data CD's to write any kind of data :P

well almost all not long movies but short films but to answer you question yes you can
